international companies and is a board member in seven companies.

He is also a fellow in the International Entrepreneurship Academy and
the Sunningdale Institute.

In his research he has elaborated on how to manage and organize complex
and boundary-spanning tasks and his on-going research can be categorized
into three main areas; assumptions, framework, systems and processes for
innovation, strategic change and renewal in established structures,
approaches on how to manage across different boundaries and approaches
on how to perform collaborative management research.
Current research on innovation, strategic change and renewal involves a
number of large private and public organizations. The purpose in many of
the projects is to capture the nature and logics of innovation,
discovery and creation processes and to elaborate on approaches that
support the co-existence of this explorative logic with the dominant
one.
Current research on managing across boundaries is performed together
with large public and private organizations on how to cope with
challenges as delivering health-care, welfare or integrated technology
shifts and to bridge different governing logics and groups of
stakeholder concerns.
Current research on Collaborative Management Research Approaches is
performed together with management researchers in different parts of the
world exploring different approaches and is focused on understanding and
bridging the gap between policies and actual prerequisites.
