Lars Trygg´s research is focused on how to manage internal technology development, especially technology development activities prior to product development. All research activities are highly integrated with contemporary activities performed by industry partners. A number of related topics and issues are currently being viewed upon, e.g. how to:

align the technology development process with the business development process
to identify and describe technology development activities as different from product development activities
define the technology development process and ways to describe this process, i.e. “technology road-maps”
organize technology development work, i.e. budgets, resources etc.
synchronize technology development activities with product development activities
assess technology readiness levels
transfer technology within an organization
capitalize on earlier product development efforts in new product development, i.e. how to manage product platform development.
