Christer Olofsson

Christer Olofsson has been active in research on product development and innovation processes in industry as well as in research on the mechanisms for industrial reorientation since 1966. His work includes books and articles on venture capital and business development, the role of NTBFs in the industrial development, regional development and business dynamics. Major projects during the 90s have focused on the financial conditions for SMEs (notably young, innovative firms), regional differences as to new firm formation, and the importance of high technology businesses for employment. Over the last years his research has included studies on the role of informal investors/business angels in the early stages of business development.

Since 1992 Christer Olofsson is professor in Entrepreneurship at SLU in Uppsala.
