Tomas Hellström has a PhD in Theory of Science and Research from Göteborg University. He is currently Professor in Management, Politics and Philosophy at Copenhagen Business School.
Hellström has a PhD in Theory of Science and Research from Gšteborg University.
Hellström´s research focuses on innovation and knowledge management in large firms, the social dynamics of technological entrepreneurship, and various aspects of management knowledge. He has been working together with the private as well as the public sector, including Volvo Cars, Telia, Ericsson, Länsförsäkringar, Ministry of Defence and the Swedish Rescue Services Agency. Due to his background as a theorist of science, Hellström´s focus is towards the development, communication and utilization of knowledge in social settings, and much of his work falls broadly within the tradition of the interdisciplinary field of Science and Technology Studies (STS). Current research in this area includes that of University-Industry Linkages and the future role of the university, particularly with regard to the concept of “Entrepreneurial Universities”.
