IMIT's administration

Mats Magnusson is Professor in Product Innovation Engineering at the Department of Machine Design, the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). He holds a PhD in Innovation Engineering and Management from the School of Technology Management and Economics, Chalmers University of Technology. Mats Magnusson´s research activities span a wide range of topics in the field of innovation. Some areas of particular interest are:

strategies, business models and learning in entrepreneurial ventures,
strategy and organizing for the renewal of established firms, with a special emphasis on knowledge- and resource-based theories of the firm,
commercialization of university research through academic entrepreneurship,
the role of communities of practice and other boundary-spanning social networks in innovation work, e.g. in the fields of biotech and open source software.

Mats Magnusson has been Visiting Professor at LUISS Guido Carli in Rome, at the University of Bologna, and at the Center for Industrial Production at Aalborg University. He is the chairman of the board of the Continuous Innovation Network, an international research network for the studies of innovation. Furthermore, Mats Magnusson is active as a teacher at different executive programs throughout Europe.

has been IMIT´s accountant since 1985. She is responsible for all financial accounting. Birgitta Andersson has previous experience with other organizations where she worked with administrative and financial functions. In addition to her accountancy tasks, she is working with information retrieval in databases worldwide. She has a controller exam from IHM Business School in Gothenburg.

has been IMIT´s project controller since 1997. He is responsible for the handling of all projects, contracts, billing, and contacts with sponsors and clients. He has the task of monitoring the economic performance and the control of reports on IMIT´s 150 projects.
